THE STORY
“Skull on Kitchen Floor” (2017) is a neon relic—an animal skull collapsed onto a grid of kitchen tiles, where the ordinary becomes ceremonial. Color spills across the scene like a heat-map memory—electric blues, bruised violets, and burning yellows—while the skull’s surface fractures into patterned fragments, appearing part mosaic, part apparition.
Built from acrylics on canvas and sealed under a glassy finish, the piece turns a domestic floor into a stage for aftermath and transformation. It is a still life that doesn’t sit still: a freeze-frame of impact, survival, and the strange beauty of what remains.
