THE STORY

“Unidentified Human Remains” (2019) is a dense, unsettling collage that reads like a forensic wall of evidence exploded into color. Fragments of bodies, faces, newsprint, and skeletal forms are layered into a turbulent field of reds, blacks, and bone tones, suggesting crime scenes, media sensationalism, and the way human lives are sometimes reduced to clues and headlines.

The surface is built up with sculpting foam and found objects, then sealed in epoxy so the chaos feels frozen in amber—beautiful, disturbing, and strangely distant. Ornamental details on the frame contrast with the raw imagery inside, underscoring the tension between spectacle and tragedy while inviting reflection on the stories that never get fully told.
