“For Julie” (2019) is an intimate shrine-like assemblage created as a personal tribute. Built as a layered box, the piece combines acrylic painting with handmade figurative elements, glass and ceramic fragments, and found objects that feel lovingly collected over time.

The central image—a vivid, fractured figure surrounded by jewels of color—glows like a stained-glass window, while driftwood, molding, and epoxy seal everything into a luminous reliquary. Words embedded in the frame—LIFE, TIME, LEGACY, Moderation—anchor the work’s emotional core, turning it into a meditation on how a single life radiates outward through memory and relationships. It functions both as a portrait and a talisman, serving as an altar to a life honored and preserved.
