THE STORY

“Dark Ascension” (2015) is a luminous emergence from shadow—an insect-angel hybrid rising through a riot of color, wire, and winged energy. Built with acrylics and found objects set within driftwood framing, the piece feels like a relic pulled from a dream: part shrine, part specimen, part spell.

A central winged form—golden, jagged, and alive—pushes forward from a dark, layered ground splattered with electric color. Sealed under a glossy epoxy finish, every ridge and fragment is preserved in depth, capturing a moment of becoming where a creature transforms mid-flight.
