THE STORY

“Book of Angels” (2014) is a devotional, jewel-box assemblage where a radiant winged figure emerges from layers of glittering beads, glass, and luminous color. Built with acrylics, plastic Mardi Gras beads, and found objects, the piece feels like an icon framed inside ornament and celebration.

Rows of gold, green, red, and pearl-like beads create a haloed architecture around the central figure, while embedded stones and fragments punctuate the surface like small constellations. Rich, intricate, and ceremonial, the work rewards close looking—revealing tiny surprises and shifting reflections with every change of light.
